A LIST OF RULES OF DOS AND DONT'S ON A NIGHT OUT

You know when you're feeling to go out with a few friends, let your hair down and have a drink, that feeling of euphoria of planning what to wear and how exactly you THINK your night's going to turn out, but it ends up the exact opposite? Yeah, pretty sucks when that happens. SO, I've decided to make a post on how to avoid disappointments and how to get into your night properly without feeling poo. Here are a few rules to guide thee:

DONTS

1. DON'T PLAN. I REPEAT, DO NOT PLAN
- Not everything in life needs planning, sometimes it's just easier to wing things and let them happen in their natural way.

2. DO NOT ASSUME THAT YOUR FRIENDS WON'T DITCH YOU,
- Chances are, they will

3. WHEN DRINKING, DO NOT MIX WINE AD SPIRITS
- Never ends well

4. DO NOT DRINK ON AN EMPTY STOMACH
- You get intoxicated quicker, with more chances of throwing up.

5. DO NOT GO HOME WITH A STRANGER
- Especially if they look creepy.

6. DO NOT BE ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE THAT STAND IN THE CORNER
- You've gone out for a reason, to dance....duh

And now, for the DOS

1. MAKE SURE YOU WEAR COMFORTABLE CLOTHES
- You don't want to be that guy/girl that has a wardrobe mishap on the dance floor.

2. DRINK WATER BETWEEN DRINK INTERVALS, THAT WAY YOU DON'T GET THAT BAD OF A HANGOVER

3. ALWAYS HAVE YOUR PHONE ON AND CHARGED
- You never know what might happen.

4. YOU'RE OUT TO HAVE FUN, DO JUST THAT AND HAVE A GREAT NIGHT OUT!

P.S. DO NOT TAKE SAMBUCCA AND JAGER SHOTS, THEY ARE RANCID UGH!

MY LIFE AT UNIVERSITY SO FAR

Before coming to university, I had this idea of what it would be in my head and how it would all play out, but it turned out to be the exact opposite of what I'd imagined! The one thing I never wanted to do twice was high school, and it feels like I'm living it all over again.

This has literally been me this entire term, Wanting to bang my head against the wall is a feeling I'm quite accustomed to now.

The stage where I hated most people

When I tried to find my way around my lecture rooms and failed disastrously.

When I realised it wasn't going to get better.

I became a cold hearted person whose reaction to everything and everyone was this.

When the people I thought to be my friends disappointed me.

DEADLINES, DEADLINES, DEADLINES!

After every hectic day

Need I say more?

The times I wanted to be the little girl hugging Sulley

When someone disagreed with my opinion

When my life started to go wrong

For every time my tutor told me what they expected of me

When someone I met on a drunken night out tried to speak me to me on a different day.

For every time I had a blast from the past.

For those who thought I cared

A struggle every students knows too well

Just because

When there was no Wi-Fi
Waiting for term breaks like

But in the end, it's all worth seeing those good grades and meeting new people, possibly friends who you'll have for life. It might be like high school, but with booze and way more fun !
AND YOU COME OUT ON TOP

BIRTHDAYS DON'T MATTER ANYMORE, NO?

I've started to notice a lot of changes in life, people no longer value the things that are important like manners, relationships, friendships and even family. Everyone is on their phone these days that no one stops to take in the world around them. One of the things that stick to me is the fact that the world has sort of outgrown birthdays. You hardly ever get a birthday card, let alone a present and it just seems a bit weird to me. Most people just post a mealy happy  birthday post on social networks like Facebook and Twitter, which just end up getting liked. People get sad because they feel like they're getting old but I think it would be pretty weird if you stayed the same age forever.

It kind of sucks to live in a world where you have a random conversation with someone and they just casually mention that it's their birthday, and then shrug while saying its not a big deal. I believe that birthdays should be amazing, should be celebrated because its the one day where you kind of realise that you've lived an actual year longer than you did the previous year, I mean that's a pretty big deal if you ask me. I guess some people would say it's all part of growing up, and that the older you get the less it matters. It's nice to have a cake with candles on, with presents and loads of people joining you to celebrate and wishing you a happy birthday in person. It's the thrill you get from having people around who care to actually take time out for the little important things.

Pancake day is a day people take seriously, I mean most people eat pancakes every other day for breakfast and stuff but you don't turn 18 or 21 everyday which is why I can't get my head around it not mattering. You only live once and it's nice to value every year that you get to see, because you never get it back.

And I would like to dedicate this post to my good friend Laura Hughes who turns 21 today! xxxxx

FAVOURITE PLACES TO EAT

I love food as you can probably already tell from my previous posts.  I don't think there's any time where I've been asked to go out to a place where I genuinely like that I've said no, regardless of how skint I was . It's just that satisfaction I get from going to a place and having great food, as well as a great atmosphere which makes it more enjoyable. I've compiled a list of some of the best places I've been and here they are

1. WAHACA'S

I have been to this Mexican street kitchen in Manchester and if you love street food, tapas style then this is the place for you. It's got everything from Quesadillas to Chicken Enchiladas and a seafood medley if you're a fan. Definitely one of my top spots.

2. WAGAMAMA

This Asian fusion restaurant, with it's Japanese menu is one of the best places to go, if you're looking to eat clean and at the same time indulge yourself. Its chicken katsu curry, ramen noodles and Prawn/Chicken firecracker( Do not try if scared of chilli.....seriously) are crowd favourites and if you ever try them, I'll leave you to figure out why. I love the arrangement of seats as well, you eat your food with strangers on a long bench and it's kind of nice because it's the Japanese way of eating.

3. CHIMICHANGA

This is basically Mexican food refined, if you're looking for a balance between gourmet burgers and spicy rice with salsa, this is the place for you. I've been here once and I haven't stopped craving it. The food is outstanding!

4. CHIQUITO

This is another good Mexican place, maybe a little bit overpriced but for the food you get, you can't really complain.

5. FIVE GUYS

Need I say more? These burgers are perfect, you get to build your own burger and decide what toppings you would like, which means you get the freshest meals as it's prepared on order. The only downside of this place is that it is ridiculously overpriced, more like a posh Burger King if I must but hey, why not?

6. THE LAUGHING BUDDHA

This Chinese restaurant is one of the best places I've ever been, the food is top quality and the customer service is amazing too. Definitely one you would take a second look at.

That's the end of my list now, I've been to a few good places and these are just the ones I'd never get bored of going to. Places like McDonald's and Nando's still have my heart though, been there for me through thick and thin, much love for y'all!

MY MANY FACES OF FOOD

Me when someone asks me to share my food

When I hear someone mention free food

When someone doesn't like my favourite food

When I go to a restaurant and my food is taking ages

When someone tells me I eat way too much

When someone says food is overrated

When I put on a few pounds

When I find a fellow food lover

When the takeaway arrives

When I order food and the person goes "Is that all for you?"
Maybe.......

When there's no more food

When I get invited to a party where there's food

Me 99.9% of the time

In the end, food is my favourite thing in the world and my blog will prove that as time goes on. Feel free to comment what your favourite things are. Until then, Adios Amigos!

YOU CAN'T EAT PIZZA, CAN YOU?

I am what you call a picky eater, maybe not the worst of them but definitely one. I guess I have my inadequate tolerance of lactose to thank for that because the world is selfish and decides to incorporate cheese in almost everything it has to offer. Do you know how it feels to have a sleepover and everyone wants some pizza and then someone looks at me and goes "You can't eat pizza, can you?" and everyone decides to do Indian, and I have to constantly remind my friends that it's got to be Chinese or I starve to death, which some may call guilt-tripping people but I couldn't care less because life isn't fair, ha!.

All my life, it has been a hassle picking a restaurant to eat at when it's a friend's birthday or even MY birthday and it hardly ever ends up being an Italian one for obvious reasons of course and even when it does, I end up sticking with my spaghetti and meatballs which is a bore if I'm honest . Sometimes I think of how different my life would be if I actually ate pizza, lasagne and beautiful things that are filled with gooey cheese. I usually get the " I'm sure you can have it without cheese" but it's not quite the same thing as a pizza without cheese is just a dough with toppings and a tomato paste, doesn't sound quite appealing, does it? The purpose of this rant-like post is to show my utter devastation with life. You should feel really lucky if you can eat pizza and other diary endowed products, it's the little things that count!
